Best of Show Award

will be given to the most promising technology coming from a convergence of lifescience, energy, software, agriculture and other vital industries presented by exhibitors in the Technology Showcase.

The Award shall recognize the technology that has the strongest potential to emerge from its pre-commercialization stage into a viable business venture.

To qualify,

  1. Product must be on exhibit at the TechForum’s Technology Showcase on February 22 – 24, 2010 and should fall under TRC’s priority sectors (Renewable Energy, Food Processing, Organic, Herbal and ICT products and services).
  2. Eligible technology exhibits/products must be new, in that it will not be released before February 22, 2010.
  3. Prototypes, reference designs, or products that represent a proof of concept are encouraged.


The most outstanding technology product at the 2010 TechForum shall be chosen based on these criteria:

  1. Wide in Scope and Applicability – 25%
  2. Sustainability – 25%
  3. Ease of Adoption – 25%
  4. Overall Presentation – 25%

Take back to your lab or workshop a cash prize of PhP 30,000, as well as the TechForum 2010 BEST OF SHOW AWARD trophy. The awardee will also be featured in publicity releases and in the TRC and TechForum websites.

Teknobiz Idea Challenge

Are you a group of students?
Do you have an innovative technology-based business idea that has not yet been introduced anywhere in the country?
Does it have the potential for market acceptability both to the Philippines and foreign markets?

Show off your creativity and techno-preneurial skills in the TechForum’s TeknoBiz Idea Challenge.

To join,
simply submit a concept paper/executive summary of your business idea. If you have a prototype/model/design/mock-up/sample product to support it, all the better!

Ten (10) finalists will be chosen to present their entries during the Innovation Opportunity Camp, where the proponents/contestants will present their technology idea and pitch it to investors.

The winners will be announced at the end of the TechForum. Contestants will be given medals and certificates for each of group member as well as cash prizes for the top three finalists.
