About TRC

To honor its commitment to the International Conference on the Survival of Humankind, the Philippine Government established the Technology Resource Center in 1977.

Now under the aegis of the Department of Science & Technology (DOST), TRC serves the public through the acquisition and promotion of technology and livelihood skills and information.

The Center acts as a facilitator in the utilization and active exchange of ideas, information and technology. To help create new jobs and livelihood opportunities as well as develop small and medium-sized technology-based businesses, TRC has nurtured the Filipino’s entrepreneurial aspirations with a wide range of instructional modules developed through the years.

TRC’s Mission and Task:
to spearhead enterprise development and the creation of livelihood opportunities, through an integrated and strategic approach covering the promotion and utilization of resources and technology breakthroughs.

Its core functions:

  1. Technology and livelihood promotion and information dissemination.
  2. Technology sourcing, assessment, utilization and commercialization.

To mark its 33rd anniversary, TRC will stage the Technology Partnering Forum 2010 on February 22 – 24, 2010 at the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) in Pasay City.
